Happy Trails was created in 1980 by James and Teri O'Connell of Naples, Florida.
It was created with the help of Linda Denning to develop leaders out of collier county youth that had one thing in common- HORSES!
Many years have passed since that initial day in September but one thing still remains, all Happy Trails members have turned out to be wonderful well rounded adults and most still keep in contact with each other to this day.
Happy Trails is the oldest and most prestigious horse club in Collier county that promotes youth and their horses.
It is a horse club that raises money and donates the funds to help promote equine educational activites such as horse judging, horse shows, trail rides, public speaking demonstrations, & community service.
The club is able to participate in these fun filled events and raise money at the same time. If you want to learn about horses of all disciplines and meet people with the same interests, come check us out.
No matter what you like to do with a horse, this is the club to be in!
Happy Trails Horse Club Inc. has sent some of the top equestrians in the state to many competitions in many forms.
We do not teach children to ride horses.
We are horse owners or passionate non horse owners that cherish being around horses.
